When to use this template
Use this template for:- Free shipping on all shipping methods.
- A percentage shipping discount.
- A fixed amount shipping discount.
- A fixed final shipping price.
- Free shipping when the cart meets a subtotal, quantity, weight, product, customer, or destination condition.
- A shipping discount that only applies to selected shipping methods.
- A shipping discount that excludes selected shipping methods.
Entry point
In Shopify admin, open Apps > AIOD Discount & Gift > Discount Templates. Click Create on the Shipping Discount card. AIOD opens a form titled Shipping Discount.Top-level controls
The form includes:- Custom Rule Builder.
- Discount ID (For your reference) with placeholder
eg: FREE SHIPPING. - Automatic discount and Discount code methods.
- When to apply discount.
- Apply discount to.
- Discount Type.
- Discount Value.
- Customer Segment.
- This discount can be combined with.
- Active Dates.
Rule Size: 1.10 KB / 10 KB.
Status mode
The top-right status dropdown controls who can use or see the discount.Discount method
The Discount Method section has two modes.
Automatic discounts show Title and Keep same as identifier.
Discount-code mode shows:
- Discount Code
- Generate random code
- Copy discount code
- Add bulk discount codes
- Maximum Discount Code Uses
- Limit number of times this discount can be used in total
- Limit to one use per customer
When to apply discount
The When to apply discount section controls the condition for the shipping discount. The default condition is Always. The condition picker contains these categories:
Some conditions reveal extra fields. For example, Cart Quantity shows an operator and quantity input.
Condition groups can include AND condition and OR condition controls.
Apply discount to
The Apply discount to section controls which shipping methods receive the discount. Options:- To all shipping methods
- To specific shipping methods
- To all shipping methods excluding these
- A match dropdown with Is and Contains.
- A textbox labeled Enter shipping methods one in each line.
Discount value
The Discount Type dropdown controls how AIOD discounts shipping. Options:- Percentage
- Fixed Discount
- Fixed Final Price
Customer segment
The Customer Segment section restricts the shipping discount to selected Shopify customer segments. AIOD describes this section as: “This discount will be only applicable for customers in the selected segments.” Use Customer segments to choose eligible Shopify customer segments.How should this discount combine with other discounts?
