Use this page for settings that appear in multiple AIOD Discount & Gift template forms. A template page links here when the controls and behavior are shared.

Show Discounted Price Crossout

Use Show Discounted Price Crossout when a merchant wants AIOD to show strikethrough discounted pricing on storefront surfaces for eligible discounts. This shared setting appears inside applicable discount template forms. Discount Widgets also references it as Discounted Price Strike-through, but that card does not open a separate widget form.

Where the setting appears

In Shopify admin, open Apps > AIOD Discount & Gift > Discount Templates, open an applicable template, and find Show Discounted Price Crossout near the lower part of the discount form. For widget discovery, open Apps > AIOD Discount & Gift > Discount Widgets and select Discounted Price Strike-through. AIOD directs the merchant back to the discount template setting.

Top-level controls

Use Show strikethrough discounted pricing for normal discount-aware behavior. Use Always show strikethrough regardless of discount rules only when the merchant explicitly wants the display to ignore whether the discount rules match.

Placement sections

After the top-level checkboxes, AIOD shows placement accordions for storefront surfaces. Open 1. On product page and add the Product Page Crossout app block to all required product pages or templates. Move the app block below the Price element, then click Save in the theme editor. Open 2. On collection page and add the Collection Cards Crossout app block to the required collection pages. Click Save in the theme editor. If the crossout does not appear, continue to the third section for code setup or support. Open 3. On rest of the pages (homepage, search, etc.) and click Contact support when the merchant needs strikethrough pricing on collection cards outside product and collection pages.

Important behavior

  • This setting changes storefront price display. It does not create a discount.
  • The template still controls eligibility, targets, discount value, dates, channels, and status.
  • Some templates or draft states can gate, disable, or hide the setting until the merchant provides enough valid discount context, such as target items and a discount value.
  • Discounted Price Strike-through in Discount Widgets is a reference to this template setting, not a separate widget configuration form.
After changing this setting, click Save in the discount template form.

Where should the widget appear?

Where should the widget appear? controls the storefront locations where an AIOD widget appears. Older versions of the form called this section Widget display locations. The common location controls are: Some templates add a location that is specific to their widget:
  • Tiered/Volume Discount also shows Collection Pages.
Observed defaults vary by template: AIOD notes in Tiered/Volume Discount that the widget must be placed once manually for cart, product, and collection pages. AIOD places the side cart drawer widget automatically. Click Place on cart page to start manual cart-page placement. The placement controls can appear on an Offer, Widget, or Widget design tab, depending on the template. After changing the locations, click Save in the template form.

This discount can be combined with

This discount can be combined with controls Shopify discount stacking. Some forms shorten the heading to Combinations or describe these controls as the combines-with settings. The available discount classes are: Availability and observed defaults can vary by template: AIOD can show a compatibility summary such as This discount currently combines with 2 existing discounts at checkout. The exact count depends on the store’s existing discounts. After changing the combination options, click Save in the template form.
