# App home

> Home page for AIOD Discount & Gift, including onboarding steps, summary metrics, AI assistant prompt, discount list, support cards, feedback.

Use **App home** when a merchant asks about the first screen of AIOD Discount & Gift or the app dashboard.

## Entry point

In Shopify admin, open **Apps** > **AIOD Discount & Gift**.

AIOD opens the app home page at the app root. The page title is **AIOD (All-In-One Discount) & Gifts** and the subtitle says: "One app to replace all other discount apps!"

## Onboarding Steps To Get Started

The home page shows an expandable **Onboarding Steps To Get Started** section with a completion count, such as `2/3 completed`.

When expanded, the observed onboarding steps are:

| Step       | Label                        | Control observed                                                      |
| ---------- | ---------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Step 1** | **Create a discount**        | No action button observed when completed.                             |
| **Step 2** | **Activate theme extension** | Shows **Enable Now** when the theme extension still needs activation. |
| **Step 3** | **Activate free trial**      | No action button observed when completed.                             |

Use **Enable Now** when a merchant needs to activate the AIOD theme extension from the home page.

## Summary metrics

The home page shows summary cards for the store's AIOD activity.

Observed metrics:

* **Total orders**
* **Total Revenue**

Click **View analytics** to open the **Analytics** tab. Read [Analytics](/docs/app/analytics) for the analytics page fields and filters.

## AI Discount Assistant

The **AI Discount Assistant** card lets the merchant describe a promotion directly from the home page.

Controls:

| Control                                 | Behavior                                                                                                         |
| --------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **What discount do you want?**          | Textbox for describing a promotion. Placeholder observed: `e.g. 10% off orders over $100, excluding sale items`. |
| **Open AI assistant with this message** | Send button. It is disabled until the merchant enters a message.                                                 |

Use this card when the merchant wants AIOD's AI chatbot to help create a discount. The merchant can describe the promotion, and AIOD can open the AI assistant flow to choose a template and fill the discount form for review.

## Your Discounts

The **Your Discounts** section lists existing AIOD discounts and provides shortcuts to create or manage discounts.

Top controls:

* **AI Assistant**
* **Create New Discount**

The table columns are:

| Column            | Meaning                                                                  |
| ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Checkbox          | Selects a discount row.                                                  |
| **Discount ID**   | Merchant-facing identifier for the discount.                             |
| **Type**          | Shows whether the discount is **Auto** or **Code**.                      |
| **Discount Code** | Shows the code for code-based discounts, or `-` for automatic discounts. |
| **Status**        | Shows current state, such as **TESTING**, **ACTIVE**, or **EXPIRED**.    |
| **Actions**       | Row action buttons.                                                      |

Observed row actions are icon-only buttons for editing, duplicating, and toggling or viewing discount status.

Click **Create New Discount** to start a manual discount from **Discount Templates**. Click **AI Assistant** to create a discount through the AI assistant.

### Bulk actions

Select one or more discount rows with the table checkboxes to show bulk actions above the table.

The bulk toolbar shows the selected count, such as `1 discount selected`, `2 discounts selected`, or `3 discounts selected`.

Observed bulk actions:

| Bulk action      | What it does                        |
| ---------------- | ----------------------------------- |
| **Activate Now** | Activates the selected discounts.   |
| **Deactivate**   | Deactivates the selected discounts. |
| **Delete**       | Deletes the selected discounts.     |

Use the header checkbox to select all visible discount rows.

## Book a free set up call

The home page can show a support card titled **Book a free set up call**.

The card says: "Setting up discounts can be tricky. We're here to help!"

Controls:

* **Schedule Meeting**
* **Dismiss book a call card**

Use **Schedule Meeting** when the merchant wants help from the AIOD team.

## Share your feedback

The home page can show a feedback card titled **Share your feedback**.

The card asks: "How would you describe your experience using our app?"

Controls:

* **Good**
* **Bad**
* **Dismiss share feedback card**

Use this card only for app experience feedback, not discount configuration.

## Create Discount Widgets

The home page includes a **Create Discount Widgets** section.

It says: "Boost sales with high-converting discount widgets like Discount Callout, Price Strike-through, Progress Bar, Free Gift, and more."

The section shows widget previews such as:

* Discounted price strike-through.
* Progress bar.
* Discount callout.
* Free gift.

## Support

The preferred support method is the live chat bubble. It floats in the bottom-left of every AIOD app page and connects the merchant to instant human support.

The second support method is email: `aiod-app@dtcdevelopers.org`.

The third support method is booking a call. Merchants can find the **Book a call** button on the AIOD home tab and the **Pricing** tab.
